 The Management Quota process is a government-authorized process that allows students to gain direct admission to an institution through private or deemed universities.


Since these universities don’t receive any grants from the government, management quotas are only applicable to private and deemed universities. As a result, the government allows the private institutions to fill 15% of their seats with management/NRI seats.

  Depending on the colleges, the fees for these quota seats range from 20 lakhs per year to 45 lakhs per year.

Usually management quota students have to pay three to four times more than a normal student. There is a simple explanation for this.

As far as the management is concerned, this is their chance to fill 15% of the seats based on their discrepancy. It is economically advantageous for the Institute on which the government has granted authorization.


From the students’ perspective, they are compensating for their low grades with financial aid to the university and are able to receive the same education as meritorious students.
